Invite The World

It was the New Year Day of the Year of the Dragon 2012 (Jan 23). I got an email from Tourism Vancouver advising me that I was the Grand Prize Winner of its Invite The World Campaign held in year 2011! I was thrilled to be “The One!” And that happening has led to the coming about of this Invite The World Blog. I plan to use this blog to record the activities and feelings of the invited guests related to their visit in Vancouver. In addition, and as outlined in the page About, my ultimate goal is to keep this blog as an vehicle to help bring up places, things and ideas to share with the communities where I live, and with the blog communities around the world. 当天是2012年龙年元旦日（1月23日）. 我从温哥华旅游局发出的电子邮件通知得悉, 我是她们在2011年举办的 邀约世界推广运动 的大奖得主! 我很高兴成为这个 “幸运儿”! 这事件最终导致本 “邀约世界博客” 的建立. 我打算用这个博客来记录应邀客人在温哥华的旅游活动和他们的感受. 同时, 亦正如在 “关于” 一文作出的介绍, 我的最终目标是可以维持这个博客网站, 並透过她将不同的地方, 物事和想法带出, 与我居住的社区和世界各地的博客社区分享.

The title of this post is “Hello World!” Itsn’t it toooo familiar to you? You know, it was suggested by the blog program I use. I have known what “blog” is for long; but as far as any actual hand-on experience that I have, I am pretty much like a Grade One student. As I am so new to blog that I believe it would be easier for me if I’d just listen humbly to the experienced ones, so that I could learn as much as I can in the shortest possible time and, more importantly, from as many people as I could reach (or be reached)! This is a tradition value I treasure very much, too. 这篇文章的标题是 “世界好!” 你是否觉得这种说法-很-熟悉? 对了, 它是我使用的博客电脑程式的原始建议. 我知道什么是 “博客” 已有一段时日了, 但论到亲身的博客经验, 我就跟初上学的一年级新生一般. 博客对我是太新了, 因此对我来说最简单的方法就是虚心地听取有经验的人的说话, 这样我就可以在最短的时间内, 和从尽可能多的人中, 学到最多! 这也是一项我非常珍惜的传统价值.

Talking about “tradition,” I have a curious feeling. Back in year 2010 I was working on a plan and hoped that something could be done in 2012. I even changed my password to one of my frequently used online services to “longingfor12″ in order to keep refreshing me of my wish on daily basis. Strange, eh? 谈到 “传统”, 我有一种奇怪的感觉. 回返2010年, 我正在进行一项计划並希望可以在 2012 年完成一些事情. 我甚至将我的一项常用的线上服务的登录密码改变为 “展望12″, 好让这些期望可以在我的日常生活中经常得到提及. 是不是有点奇怪呢, 嗯?
